About the Artist: Currently based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Roeqiya Fris is a Dutch-Egyptian illustrator who graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy of Visual Arts. Inspired by Arab culture, world travel and nature, her marvelous scenes radiate with vibrant color, boldly mixed patterns, and strong femininity. Working mainly with colored ink, markers, gouache and pencils, Roeqiya’s lovely artwork depicts diversity, female friendships and sisterhood.
